Roasted Garlic

This was my first time roasting garlic, but I have a feeling I'll be roasting a lot more now. It's not the fastest process, but you can always do other things while the garlic is in the oven. This method for roasting garlic comes from Simply Recipes and is a segue into my next post!

Ingredients

Garlic head(s)
Olive oil

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

2. Peel away the outer layer of skin on the garlic head, but leave the skin intact on each individual clove. Use a knife to cut off the tips of the cloves.

3. Drizzle olive oil over each garlic head and wrap entirely in aluminum foil.

4. Place the garlic head(s) in a pan (a muffin tin works really well) and roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes.

** Wait for the garlic to cool before pulling out the cloves! A cocktail fork works well for pulling out the cloves ... pinching the cloves at the bottom also helps to get them out.

Mmmm, garlic muffins...
