Although I've happily watched my parents cook lobsters over the years, I always just slightly cringed nearby instead of sticking them into the pot myself. It was time! Molly and I had a lobster date last week and we rode our bikes over to the Metropolitan Fish Market in Williamsburg to pick up two 1.5 pound lobsters (only $8.95/pound!). I must say that it was the first (but now probably not the last) time that I've ridden a bike with 2 live lobsters in my backpack. Here are some photos from our lobster adventure:
I recently got this lobster steaming pot because the one I originally received for Christmas last year was so big that I could actually fit inside of it.
Unlucky lobster #1:
My sister set me up with some pretty sweet lobster accoutrements for my birthday. Check out those butter melting cups!
The whole set up:
Because who doesn't need a lobster lollipop after all that work?
